Firearms Lessons
Our GGC events are not meant to be beginner’s shooting lessons. To attend, you must already have solid safety skills and basic handgun shooting skills. If you are a beginning shooter, you will need to take a Basic Firearms Safety Class prior to attending your first Girls Gun Club event. You may take a BFSC at any gun range. You do not need to take a BFSC from us. But, as a convenience to our members and their guests (both female and male), we offer a BFSC prior to each GGC event. Or, if you prefer, we can assist you in scheduling a private lesson with one of our instructors. If you are already a competent and safe handgun shooter, but would like to take additional shooting lessons or train with other weapons systems, please call or email. We offer firearms courses and private lessons in all major weapon systems (handgun, shotgun, rifle) and at all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
Basic Firearms Safety Class
Girls Gun Club offers a two-hour Basic Firearms Safety Class prior to each Girls Gun Club event. You will learn handgun safety, range rules and etiquette, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, how to safely draw your weapon from a holster, how to engage single opponents and how to engage multiple opponents. This class qualifies new shooters to participate in our Girls Gun Club events.
Location: Burro Canyon Shooting Park, in Azusa.
Price: $75 per person, NOT including ammo.
All gun and equipment rental IS included.
Note: You MUST register.
Safety Requirements: Do not bring any loaded weapons onto the range! All weapons must be unloaded and locked in a case when you arrive on the range. A range officer will unlock the case and check your weapon for safety.
Intermediate and Advanced Handgun Lessons
Intermediate and advanced Handgun lessons are available either through group courses or private lessons. Please Note: Group courses may or may not be all-female. If an all-female course is important to you, you will want to inquire when you register.
Shotgun and Rifle Lessons
We offer firearms courses and private lessons in all major weapon systems (handgun, shotgun, rifle) and at all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Please Note: Group courses may or may not be all-female. If an all-female course is important to you, you will want to inquire when you register.
